Module Description
Building on the theory of rational expectations and observations of market anomalies, this course analyzes the extent to which individual behavior can be responsible for these anomalies. The focus is on information aggregation in markets. Among others, the following questions are addressed: Which anomalies can occur and what are their consequences for the capital market? Under which conditions can different market structure solutions serve as a corrective? What are the implications of digital transformation and the changing role of central banks for information aggregation? The course is rounded off by lectures from practitioners on various aspects of behavioral finance.
